This study of Lannuier focuses on his family and his origins in France, his life and work in New York during the Late Federal Period (1803-19), his clients, and connoisseurship of his furniture.
Lannuier is known for his gilded card and marble-topped tables, bedframes, and chairs for upper-class homes. This catalog accompanied a 1998 exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
